What happens to my existing rankings if I migrate?

Protecting your existing search rankings is one of our top priorities during any migration.

What we do to protect rankings

URL structure preservation — We map your existing URLs and replicate the structure in the new site wherever possible. Where URLs must change, we set up permanent 301 redirects so Google's link equity transfers correctly.

301 redirect mapping — Every old URL gets a redirect to its equivalent new URL. We build a complete redirect map before migration and verify it after launch.

Pre-launch checklist — Before we switch DNS, we run through a full technical SEO checklist: canonicals, sitemaps, robots.txt, internal links, and structured data.

Post-launch monitoring — We monitor rankings daily in the weeks following migration. If we see any unexpected drops, we investigate and resolve immediately.

What the data shows

Our Alveni AI case study migrated from a static Framer site. The result was zero traffic loss — and the site went from a handful of pages to 21 top-10 Google rankings in 5 weeks after migration.

When rankings improve after migration

In most cases, rankings either hold steady or improve within 4–8 weeks of migration. The reasons:

  • Next.js generates faster, cleaner pages (100/100 Lighthouse vs typical 60–80 on CMS platforms)
  • Better technical SEO foundation means Google can crawl and understand the site more effectively
  • The AI content engine starts adding new, relevant content immediately

What we cannot guarantee

No migration is completely risk-free. Temporary fluctuations of a few positions in the first 2–4 weeks are normal as Google reindexes. These typically resolve quickly. We monitor everything and act if needed.
